No, you're not crazy. I've done it myself many times, though I don't do it very much any more. We actually used to listen to Christmas music on the way to our annual beach trip.

Although many people hate holiday music, I happen to like it. It reminds me of family gatherings and well-needed winter rests and snow (which I happen to like) and those are, of course, good memories.

Yes, I've played Santa quite a few times over the years, with my snow white hair and beard, there's no need for the wig AND............I don't need a pillow *sigh*

I love listening to Christmas music - I've been to known to pop in George Strait's Christmas Album while driving and singalong to it. Like everyone said its relaxing - peaceful.

Hey Santa - oops Dennis - maybe you can make an appearance here on Storm2k - post your picture as our own resident Santa!!!!!

Christmas music is fine any time! 8-) I have an electronic keyboard that can play quite a few Christmas songs and I just listened to a few of them last week.

I do it too. I have a country Christmas album that I listen to if I am in an especially bad mood. Plus, I often find myself singing Christmas songs if I am in the car and driving a long ways after I run out of country songs to sing. :)

You're not crazy... I've wanted to do that before... it does make you feel cooler and more relaxed. I love Christmas, and can't wait until this season comes! Should I start decorating? Nah, I'll wait...

I will occasionally listen to Christmas music when it's not that time of year. Unfortunately, I'm usually so busy around Christmas that I think I enjoy it more AFTER Christmas.

Hey ticka...I have that George Strait cd too....he's nice any time of year. ;)

I usually wait till the tree is up, then I drive the family nuts with Alan Jackson's Honky Tonk X-Mas.

The song "I only want you for X-mas", has special meaning for me and my wife as we were "supposed" to be married on X-Mas Eve of 1998, but "somebody" didn't sign some papers on purpose. You know...there's a little law about being divorced before you can get married!

The song "Christmas in Dixie" by Alabama gives me goosebumps when I hear it...even on a 100° July afternoon :)

No, you are not "crazy"...many a time and oft, will you find me listening/singing "O, Sanctissima", "Te Deum", "Adeste Fideles", "Non nobis, Domine", "Gloria in excelsis Deo", or any of a hundred sundry seasonal ditties.

More often than not, I find old Celtic songs to be more soothing to the ravages of circumstance...patricularly those associated with Samhain (pronounced "sow-WEEN", the Irish equivalent of our Hallowe'en).

I don't think you're crazy either. I listen to Christmas music occasionally. It brings about such warm happy feelings. It's a great pick-me-up when I'm feeling down. I can't wait for Christmas. I was just thinking to myself, "when should i start shopping?". LOL

Az- that is such a great thing, signing up to be Santa. You post had me laughing! You're too funny. :D
