Summer is party time for a lot of folks. Outdoor concerts are huge in some cities.

Just curious what concerts/shows you might have attended in the last few years?

...and while you're at it...what's the name of your favorite LOCAL musician(s)?

I am part of a bluegrass band that is regionally renowned and recognized so I perform at several concerts a year. :)

In the past few years I have seen Jamie O'Neal, Alan Jackson, Diamond Rio, Amy Dalley, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Phil Vassar, and IMHO the best female vocalist ever Rhonda Vincent. If you like "real country" and/or bluegrass, I suggest you check out her music.

I haven't been to a country concert in awhile. The ticket prices down here are where you have to take out a loan to purchase them. But I am going to my first rock concert. My husband is a Metallica fan and they are having a big concert at the Reliant Stadium in August. For this 40 year old woman - its going to be an adventure! Wish me luck!

Jimmy Buffett at Alpine Valley, Country USA 2002 in Oshkosh, (ie Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Tracy Byrd, Jessica Andrews, Tracy Lawrence, etc)

As for local concerts...we have whats called Waterfest in Oshkosh every Thursday night and they bring in top notch nationally known bands...Three Dog Night (remember "frog song" jeremiah was a bull frog...), Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Short Stuff (song called "I made a mistake"...its the wedding song) etc.

The local headlining bands that I have seen include...the BoDeans, Vic Ferrari, Boogie and the yoyos.

Concerts....

I have been to several, but the one that stands out most was Cheap Trick. Came home higher than a Georgia pine just off the fumes from the place! lol Couldn't hear for two days!

The Wilson sisters ( Heart ) also rocked Rupp Arena to new heights..... Saw Alabama from behind the stage, but if I had to name my dream one , it would have to be KC ( Kenny Chesney) * drools * lol

Have a good day guys! ~ T

Well, a few years ago my family went to Cleveland, OH... saw Vertical Horizon there. I did a little more than see them...

My dad and I were searching around for tickets... because we didn't have any. We put our names in for a drawing and if we won, we'd get tickets... we didn't win that.

But, then, we saw the group, Veritcal Horizon... we said Hi to them, all that... and my dad said we didn't have any tickets... but then, A member of the band took tickets from his pocket and gave them to us!

Isn't that awesome? But, we didn't have a ticket for my mom, but we eventually found a guy selling them... so we all got in just in time.

Just thought I'd share that story.... :P
