OK.....how many times have you listened to a song and come up with a goofy title like Weird Al Yankovitch (sp) or misunderstood the song title the first time or misunderstood a chorus line?

The first time I heard "Bad Moon on the Rise" by Credence Clearwater Revival, I thought the title was "There's a bathroom on the right!"

Another title, Beach Boys "She gets around" to "She's big and round!"......I believe Weird Al did that one

That brings back a memory of a girl I knew back in cosmetology school. She thought that Brian Adams song Cut's Like a Knife was really something I can't post here at Storm2K!

Anybody know a little AC/DC????

I never could figure out the words to "Dirty Deeds".. it always sounded like "dirty feet and the dunder cheek"???? It wasn't until I heard a disc jockey speak the lyrics clearly that I then knew it is Dirty Deeds, and done DIRT CHEAP.

I think that there is a website for mis-heard lyrics - not sure of the name or address. It was really funny, though, and you can post your own mis-heard things, too.

Found it: http://www.kissthisguy.com/

Regarding Wierd Al, there is a DVD out, with like fifteen of his videos on it. I love "Fat" the most, but most of the others are great, too. :)

Speaking of DVDs, the Ben Stiller Show DVD has all of the episodes from this short-lived gem. If you can borrow or buy the DVD, then "Die Hungry" is one of the best movie parody skits ever. I think that there is another skit somewhere in which a guy is holed up in this tiny photo-mat type hut and the SWAT team closes in. Hilarious.

A good music DVD is The Cars: Live. It was recorded from "Musikladen" or somesuch overseas show, documenting their only tour in Europe. It is neat for Cars fans to see them in a club setting. A warning, though: There is an interview included, with the band years and years later regarding their European tour. Benjamin Orr, the bassist has passed on now (cancer), but in the interview he looks really bad, likely late in his battle. Myself, I wish I hadn't seen it, and choose to keep his memory from better times. :(

Hey huricat that site was hilarious. As a matter of fact I misheard the song the site is named after as well. Jimi Hendrix.........I though it was excuse my while I kiss this guy as well. It is excuse me while I kiss the sky. I figured it out somewhere in my teen years, but I remeber when I first started to listen to him, me and my best friend would be driving down the road singing the same wrong words together.
I know there are more but can not come up with them right now.

If I don't misconstrue some lyrics (which I have), I do have a talent for rewriting them...none of which efforts are printable herein.

I will offer two such "rewrites" by their original titles...Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Elton John, and She's Always a Woman, Billy Joel.

I'll leave the rest to your imaginations.

I must say, Blinded By The Light has always been a source of controversy in our home. If you'll check out the options on the site listed above, you'll discover one of the hybrid versions that we've always sung while vacuuming the house!

You don't have to say another word...the second line of the chorus always threw us, too.
