After nearly three years of trying to make it happen, I was lucky enough to be joined by Dennis and Michelle at lunch today here in north Phoenix. Seems he needed to bring his new CSI vehicle down the mountain from Pinetop to the city for a little work on the truck's bedliner.

So we shared some good conversation and a laugh or two over lunch!

Great to finally meet you two. This is the first time, not the last.

And by the way, it really doesn't happen very often that I get to sit across from an "A" student Crime Scene Investigator!!!

So I beat you to the boards with the Arizona news of the day, Dennis!

Hi again. Home from work, and more than happy to report Karan that it was a real treat to get to meet the two of them. Dennis and Michelle are the good people we have known them to be all the while at the PBS or on the Front Porch.

...and, aw Dennis, well he was like a kid in a candy store with that new PO-LICE vehicle he was drivin! He actually backed it into the parking space just 'n case he got a call!

That's so cool that you finally got to meet each other!
I do hope that more meetings and fun add to a long-lasting
friendship, Poppysky!

As we all have learned, real friends are precious. We cannot take them for granted, nor can we miss opportunities to tell them thanks for the friendship.

Along the way, who knows when the next chance to do that will occur.

...and yeah, Stephanie, we all want to be big kids again, but Dennis sure is proud of his new toy. Rightfully so.

Yes indeed, it was a GREAT time Steve, you are SO right about friendships, what a blessing to have such GOOD friends (especially one who buys lunch!) OH hey, I made it back up the hill in RECORD time with the NEW "Scooby Doo Mystery Machine" *of course it helps having ALL the lights*

Aw shucks you guys! It sure is nice to hear about the rendezvous. Sounds like you had a good old time. One of these years after the kids are out on their own, I'm going to take a major road trip and do some visiting.

We always get left out, Ed. What did you do this time?

Me and O Town have known each other since 6th grade!!! That's what 21 years now!!! OMG!!! There has been spans in our friendship where we havent talked in a few years but weve been pretty close for the past 5 years.........but now I live an hour and a half away so we dont see each other that much but we are always talking to each other on the computer.......and she told me about this site!!! And what a great site it is!!!!!! True friends are such a blessing in life!!!! I dont know what I'd do with out her!!!!

Steve, Dennis and Michelle...HOW COOL :O). Ya know...one of these days Michelle will have to visit her (sister?) who has horses near Temecula, and Steve and his wife have just GOT to stop off when they're cruisin' down the 15 between sons...we'll meet at the casino guys, and lunch is definitely on me!!!!
