The same as every year.With my family first looking at the Macys Parade,Then eating the turkey and later to see football games.No travel for me this year at that long weekend.

My sister and family will be coming down for Thanksgiving Day from Roanoke Rapids, NC...stay overnight...and then head home sometime the day after.

Friday and Sunday-Nothing.

Thursday, COOKING the dinner (as most of you know, I LOVE to cook) for myself, my bride and 5 officers from the PD, some who are single the other 3 are on duty

Friday, watching the Christmas specials
Saturday WORK
Sunday WORK

I'm cooking this year......just got me a 18 pound bird!!!!!!!!! My parents and my aunt and uncle are coming over......and the rest of the weekend is 'up in the air'?

Going to my sister's house in Mandeville, LA.

beancounter and coppertop are going to her mother's...I'm staying here for the day, and will eat something when they get back.

Going to my grandmas house, been going ever since I can remeber I think about 30 years or so. The past few years we have all brought something to help out. She has always wanted to do it all, but we finally put a stop to that. She is 93 years old and to cook for 30-35 people is just too much for her anymore. As much as I love her cooking, it is just too much work for her. Every year I think this may be the last year at her house. I sure hope there are many more years to come. It is one of the only times of year all of the family can get together, and it won't be the same if we celebrate somewhere besides grandmas house.

she still wants to cook the meal? Oh, I know that she just
enjoys having her family around her, to share the holidays
and good times!

I'll be up early on Thanksgiving and drive two blocks to Mama's
to help her get the "feast" together - I'll turn on the NYC
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the tv, and, we'll stop
to look at some of the floats. The rest of the gang will be
there, later, and, we'll eat...take home leftovers....wash
dishes, clean the kitchen, and, ahhhhh....it is DONE.

You live next to Mom too eh? My mom is about a quater mile down the road, a stones throw, and my grandma lives next door to my mom and dad. Never went far after I got my own family and love it!!
And yes she still wants to cook the meals, she fights us every year on weather we can bring some sides for her turkey. This year was the first year in the last 3 or 4 we didn't have much of a fight on our hands. LOL. She is fistie, and acts like she is only 70, still has a garden, and drives around to the grocery. She just retired 5 years ago. Unbeliveable!! I hope I have her genes.

I have two older brothers (I'm the spoiled baby and only
girl)....

My oldest brother and his family lives right next-door to me,
on Main St., Summertown, USA.... ...and, my Mama
lives about two blocks away from us. My middle brother and
family, on the other hand, lives about forty miles south of us,
almost on the Alabama state line. But, we'll all get together!

Celebrate the holiday with my wifes family on Thursday...Work 3:30 AM (thats right, you read that correctly) until 12:00 Noon on Friday...Work 6:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday until god knows when...and have Monday off to lick the wounds of working all those darn hours.

Will have two granddaughters, both sons, daughter-in-law, and our youngest son's girlfriend here for parts of that week.

We'll also be celebrating our youngest granddaughter's first birthday on the day before Thanksgiving.

So we will be shopping, playing cards, go to see Zoo Lights at Phoenix Zoo, eating turkey and the fixin's and otherwise a lot of talk.

Unfortunately, as is always the case on that holiday week...I will be working every day but Thursday.

Still...should be a GREAT time and we'll sleep well when it is over....

I am probably going up to gatlinburg tn for turkey day because we have a resort up their.

Got cleared for a few days off and planning on going to Ocracoke Island NC.

Thankgiving Day, going to be a sad one for the family again. Thanksgiving Day marks 3 years that my grandma died of colon cancer. We were very close. She was close to all her grandchildren, but I believe we had a special relationship. A real bond. I miss her terribly. We all do. For Thanksgiving, it was a tradition to all bring a dish to my grandparents home. A huge gathering with all my numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. This year, plans have kind of changed. Plus, all the men want to go hunting. So, we are going to get together with my grandpa and the rest of the family and eat our Thanksgiving meal at Ryan's. And go visit at my grandpa's house later in the afternoon.

As for Thansgiving weekend, there is no weekend for me! I work retail. 10 hour shifts all weekend long. I am just thankful that we are not open on Thanksgiving Day!

I know this sounds bad but I am going to be torture to the point of losing my mind this Thanksgiving by visiting the Inlaws for 5 days.

Any changes to the above plans from the members or still is the same? For me the same as I posted above.
