about RFL 2006.. Only because it'll be here before I know it..
Just because I was curious.. I did some research.. and Relay for Life 2006 is scheduled for 4/28/06..
I know my Wal Mart said that they wanted to participate in the next year's run this year.. so sometime in January I'll discuss it with them

Ok.. Now I can mark it down on my calendar

John, I did the Relay for Life to raise money for cancer
treatment and research through our local hospital in April
of 2002. That was on a Saturday. I learned on Tuesday,
the following week, that my Dad had lung cancer. I thought
that was so ironic, yet, I was glad that I had done it.
Unfortunately, his was progressed, and, didn't end up
being a "Survivor's Story". He died in June of 2002.
But, so many are! And, those stories always show the
strength and determination of people who just keep
fighting, and, deal with all kinds of changes.
Glad you're doing it. Those survivors are glad you're joining
the fight!

2006 will be my 4th RFL..
In 2003.. 16 miles
In 2004 22 1/2
2005 28
2006 Goal: 30-35 miles on my feet
I know it's not till the end of April.. but it's never too early for me to start thinking about it. I enjoy the RFL every year. I have to double check but the place where I got the info also says the venue changed this year. Instead of being at my alma mater. It's at an HS that is now just about 15 mins. {walking} from my house
