Rice Dressing
Cornbread Dressing

We go to my grandmas house, who is 96, had been going since I can remeber. She used to do all the cooking till about 3-4 years ago, now we all bring most of the sides. She does the Turkey, dressing, collards(no one does them like her), and the cake and pumkin pie. There is barley enough room on the plate to taste everything. lol. Sometimes there could be more sides depending on who brings what, but this is what you can count on below.

MAIN
Turkey
Ham
collard greens
mashed taters/ gravy
stuffin'
green beans
broclii cass.
corn cass.
sweet taters with marshmellows(candied yams)
pasta salad of some sort
bread(usually homemade)
cranberry sauce

TO PICK AT
meraniaded crab claws
deviled eggs
relish tray
spinach dip in bread bowl

DESSERTS
Pumpkin pie
Itailan creme cake
Key lime pie
Apple pie(sometimes)

I can't wait to go chow!

I love Thanksgiving! Here's my tenative menu. My husband will be in charge of grilling the turkey. I saw a recipe in Southern Living for cornbread dressing made in a crockpot, which sounded interesting. My favorite job is baking the desserts. I like to try at least one new dessert recipe for this holiday.

Appetizers (Undecided yet, but must include my daughter's famous cheeseball!)

Turkey w/cornbread dressing and gravy
Ham
Mashed potatoes
Sweet Potato Souffle
Green Bean Casserole (daughter's request)
Broccoli Salad (son-in-law's request)
Veggie Tray and/or Green Salad
Cranberry Sauce

Pumpkin Pie
(New recipe, undecided yet) Dessert
Cranberry Walnut Sweet Bread (family recipe)

I may not have a turkey this year, might get a ham instead, less work that way.
But all other items will stay the same. Daughter is fixing the stuffing this year but I will be fixing my sweet potato pies and pumpkin pies. Hubby and I are the only ones that really eat the dressing so a small pan of it will be my recipe. Daughter is fixing a recipe she found on line. mashed potates and gravy are a must too.

Turkey, eggplant and shrimp dressing, corn-on-the-cob, mashed potatoes and gravy. I'm making an artichoke casserole, eggplant parmesan, orange pie and cheese cake with pecan praline sauce.
