Blue jeans or dress?

#1 Postby azsnowman » Tue Nov 15, 2005 8:47 pm

What's your normal everyday attire? Mine....up until I started with the police dept. I used to be a blue jeans, tshirt kinda guy (still am on my days off now) but since my full time employment in criminal investigations it's Dockers Pleated dress slacks and a dress shirt, badge on the belt with my service weapon, ya know, the "CSI" look

Blue jeans and a casual shirt...unless I'm at my volunteering job or at church and then it's dressier.

Variable to mood and number of patients per day -
scrubs when I have a lot of tests in a day...slacks and
a tee when I don't...jeans on a slow day or a "no-patient"
day...I never dress in a suit - EEG paste and ultrasound
gel doesn't look good on one...

Same theme farther north. Jeans, sweatshirt, sneakers or hiking boots. I really don't think the laundry or the litterbox care if I am dressed nice or not! :D

At work I wear khakis and a polo shirt when I'm in the office. I wear khakis and a button-down company logo shirt when I go on sales calls locally and I wear a suit only when I need to make a sales call to one of my big distributors, as in the big cities up north they tend to dress more formally than we do in Florida. :)

On the weekends I wear shorts and a t-shirt or polo shirt. I wear jeans only when it's cool outside.

When I am out on my school crossing duty, I am in a Polk County sherrif's uniform of white shirt and green uniform pants. I do wear a white pith helmet to shade my eyes . But when I am not on duty, I usually wear shorts and a shirt inside the house or jeans if I go to the store for any reason.

We're fortunate to have "Casual Mondays" where we can wear blue jeans and casual business attire Tuesday - Thursday. The weekends including Friday is business dress so it's back to the slacks and heels. I just can't do dresses and skirts anymore for work!!

If I had a choice for everyday wear, it would be blue jeans! :D

The only time we get to wear jeans is for charity fund raisers - then we pay $5 to wear them. Happens maybe twice a year :(

Quite a twist there from the more common "Casual Friday!" :)

lol - the firm moved our New Orleans operations to Baton Rouge after Katrina very quickly. We couldn't get home to get our clothes yet, so we were going to work in shorts or jeans, it's all we had with us! I know my boss was cringing inside! We were like, hey you wanted us here, so here we are! Wasn't a whole lot she could say at that point in time :D

Jeans! Unless I have to train the physicians and techs, then it's casual...for commander calls or meeting with command it's a power suit (and I have no power, lol)
