The Supreme Court today struck down a Texas law that criminalizes homosexual behavior, a ruling considered to be a major victory for gay rights in the United States. The justices voted 6-3 in striking down the Texas law, saying it violated due process guarantees.

Now we know why the Democrats are bound and determined to keep Republican nominees from the bench.

In this case, the authorities broke into a private home without warrant and arrrested two men engaged in "homosexual behavior". The Supreme Court ruled that this was a consentual act by two adults, whose right to privacy had been violated (? LOL) by absence of due process (warrant), and that the State had no compelling interest in invading bedrooms, as it were.
Now, if the Supreme Court could apply this ruling to firearms owners...

I frankly don't care what they do in the privacy of their own homes either, BUT.....I would not support them dancing in the streets of my home town and then having to explain to little Suzy why those men are hugging and kissing each other and dressed in evening gowns!

Did you hear that they were going to be dancing and singing in the street?
The privacy issue is why the Supreme Court also struck it down. So, there isn't really a problem is there?

hey Steph...it's simply called sarcasm. But seriously...give the gays a reason to push their agenda out in public and they will do it...hence my comment.

Stereo-typing is so easy isn't it..I know a gay man. that works out at my gym and you'd never be able to tell.. It is funny how easily labels get put on people..My take on this is it is no more my business what he and his companion do in there bedroom..than you and your wife do in yours...He is a person to me nothing more nothing less

Let me ask you this: If 3 out of 5 gay men talk with a lisp, wiggle their butts when they walk, act in a feminine manner, am I not allowed to generalize, or "stereotype"?... for the protection of the young and innocent, who frankly I don't want thinking that this is normal acceptable behavior???
I DID say I don't care what the flamers do in their own bedroom, but it should stay in there just as any heterosexual intimacy should.

I don't have a problem with the topic but I have to agree that the stereotyping is dumb. I thought we had moved beyond that.

Dressed in evening gowns... puhleeze!

And the last time I checked... even though they aren't dancing in the streets... freedom of assembly is in the constitution is it not?

Yeah, because I know The Children (tm) = you, because you find it uncomfortable. Too bad. I've seen plenty of homosexuals in my life and yet remain heterosexual and non-deviant. So is it the case for a lot of people I know.

Protecting the children of America?? Not a thing j ; in fact we have an obligation to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I make no bones about it...if someone were to molest, sexually assault, or murder my child (or one my sister's children) -- I'd either kill the pervert or die trying!
If that makes me a "bad guy", then so be it. I know my mom, dad, and grandmother either one would have killed (or died) to protect me. In the 1930's my great-great uncle (by marriage) shot and killed two "bootleggers" that beat his teenage son to death with a loaded baseball bat. The old man went to prison for several years (before being pardoned by the new Governer)-- but those two murderers never killed again!
A major problem in America in 2003:
Some people are far too friggin concerned about the rights of criminals and perverts...and not nearly concerned enough about those they victimize and murder.

want an opinion from an old lady? What the devil do you mean protect the children from gays? Gays dont molest or hurt children molesters molest children, and I assure you that most molesters are straight. And as far as acceptable or not, who are we to judge, are you god? Im not! SO if one doesnt like what someone else is doing, then to bad, take care of ones own business and leave everyone else alone, because if you start bashing others that just means your life is more pathetic than the one you bashing. SO smoke that for a while before you talk about people...

There is no point in arguing this with you of all people, since anything in the Bible disgusts you to begin with.
Somehow I can't let this go....I'll bet you don't have any children now do you Widremann? Get back to me when you do, and let me know how you feel about the little boy (or girl) you are raising in a world that is increasingly catering to the interests of a select few. Have fun explaing to them that its ok for men to marry men and for woman to marry woman, and have babies with purchased sperm. Have a blast stirring your child in the right direction. Or.....just forget about having children, marry a man and let somebody else worry about it.
