I have so many fears and phobias. I suffer from severe anxiety sometimes. I have a phobia of cockroaches. If I happen to see one somewhere, I scream bloody murder. Also scared of rats and snakes. Phobia of death. And used to have a phobia of driving. I have had my license since 17 and have my own car for the last couple of years. I still won't drive around big cities though or if I don't where I am going. And have a big phobia of driving in the rain especially at night. About 6 months ago, I was driving home from work at night in the pouring rain. And ran off the road because I could not see it. And hit a HUGE road sign. Miracle no damage to my car. Saturday night, it was dark, I had to drive home from work and it was pouring down rain. I drove only 30 mph the whole way home and had to keep taking deep breaths. I almost had a panic attack on the way home and I live 9 miles away from work. I managed to make it home okay, but I panic every time I am forced to drive in the rain.

I have a phobia of severe thunderstorms. It is the lightning and thunder that scares the living daylilghts out of me when the lighnting is flashing like a strobe light. I trace it back to having survived Hurricane Donna when I was a child. I was only 4 years old when Hurricane Donna made a direct hit on Bartow FL where I grew up, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

Forever, death, spiders, small spaces, crowded rooms, airplanes, snakes, theatres, concerts, peaches and logs.
Also, I have a major phobia of the song Revolution Number 9, by the Beatles. If I ever hear that song just start, I have panic attacks. I can't stand that song, the first time I heard it about 8 months ago I couldn't fall asleep. When I did, I would have wierd dreams that freaked me out.

I am afraid of winning the lottery. It wouldn't make everything good. It would create more problems than it would be worth.

I also have the same thinking about that.

Me too.
I was scared silly of spiders when I was young. Now I just kill them - unless it's one of those big hairy guys, then I yell for hubby.
I have never been really afraid of the weather, however - after the storms last year I have been uneasy when the wind blows hard. It's really not rational - I mean we have thunderstorms and stuff all the time. Hopefully I will get over it in time (like the spiders).

Now, how do you live in lower LA and have a phobia of roaches!!

Roaches are just so nasty! They are the grossest things I ever seen! If I go into a building or something and see one or if one sneaks in the house from outside, I panic. The flying ones especially freak me out. Someone else always has to kill it because I am scared to go near it. If it happens while I am alone, I don't know what I will do. And Louisiana is not the only state that has roaches, I am sure they are in all 50 states and every inch of this world. They have been there since biblical times.

Roaches, rats (unless they're caged), and mold.

I think you've earned the right to be fearful of bad weather!

The only "phobia" I can claim is the need to drive a vehicle myself; I cannot stand the idea of anyone else in the driver's seat, thus "imprisoned" by their imperative to go where they want, and stay as long as they want.
I have to retain the ability to extricate myself at will...possibly a mild form of agoraphobia.

Yuck I hate spiders too!!! I do have a phobia of lightning too. When I was 9 years old we lived in Winter Park, Fl. (Orlando) and I was sitting by the window in our living room and a bolt of lightning struck the ground right across the street (which was very very close) and after the storm passed me and my Dad went outside to look, and there was a patch of burnt grass where the lightning hit........I will never forget that.....

dont know if God was trying to tell me something or what?
Then in high school this boy got struck and killed on our football field just walking home from school
Lightning has always freaked me out
