Good Morning All............
As most of you know, my oldest son was accepted to Florida State University in the fall. We have orientation Monday morning and were supposed to leave about an hour ago for Tallahassee to enjoy a little down time before the festivities start. Well, about 4:30 this morning, there was this loud banging on my front door, I opened it and a cop was standing there asking me if I was Timothy's mom, I said yes, terrified at this point. They said I needed to come with them because they were taking him to jail and I needed to get my car. While a sense of relief flooded me, I then saw everything we have worked so hard for going down the drain. It is a very long story, but he had been drinking (he is 18 yrs old) and there were quite a few of them together and they found pot in my car (not mine)
To make a long story short, he is being booked right now and I am waiting to find out if and when I can get him out. I am sure he is rather frightened right now and part of me is glad for that. This is the last orientation there is at FSU for the fall term and if we miss it, he won't be able to start. He is going on an academic scholarship and has worked very hard to get it. I am very frightened right now not to mention, angry, tired, sad and a host of other feelings. I ask for your prayers that we get through this with the least amount of residual affects. This is going to be a very long day for me but I have faith that God will get me through this the way He has gotten me through all the other messes in my life. I am also going to post this on the main board, I need all the prayers I can get right now.
