I was named after a football player (Perry Lee Dunn)....my sister after one of mom's friends (Rebecca Lynne)...my niece was named after a town in Mississippi (Madison)...one nephew after a bible hero (Jacob)...another after his dad's favorite golfer (Nick Price).
I was named by my dad (obviously

after a Georgia all state high school football quarterback named Perry Lee Dunn (who later played college football at Ole Miss and pro football with the Cowboys, Eagles, and Falcons).....thus I was christened "Perry Lee"
Who...or what were you named after?

I was named after a friend of my parent's who died in a car accident a couple of months before I was born. I was originally going to be Timothy. Hmm... it is a toss-up which one I like better.
My sister Kendra was named after a friend of ours and my sister Kayla was named after a character my grandmother watched on Days Of Our Lives.

I was named after Debbie Reynolds. My brother Jerry Dean was named after Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. A sister was named after a child actress on the old soap Secret Storm. Her name is Lori Ann.
Where the other names came from, I have no idea.
Debbie

I think Annette is a wonderful name. In fact, Annette is the name of one of my best friends from high school.

I am eternally grateful to the woman named Sandy who was in the same room as my mother the day I was born. I was dubbed Bobbi Sue the minute my mother found out she was preggers with me.
Thank you Sandy wherever you are!

My mom named me after her favorite soap character at the time. She named me Constance for three days before my dad convinced her to change it to Jennifer. Thank you dad! LOL

Our son Jarrod was named after Jarrod Barkley on the TV show Big Valley, I think it was. We named our first son Jason D(avid) so we could remember the last six months of the year...July, August, September, October, November, and December!
Good thing we never had a girl. Her name was to be Amy Suzanne and her initials would have been A.S.S!
Our precious granddaughter Emma has a middle name of Donnie in memory of Deborah's twin brother (Emma's uncle) who died tragically while Deborah was in her 3rd month of pregnancy last year. Ironically...my grandmother's name was Emma, too.

My parents named me and my siblings after Saints. Michael, Christopher, Matthew and
Thomas. My only sister's name is Maria which of course if a form of Mary.
I always liked how the five letter "J-A-S-O-N" start the months, "July, August, September, October and November."

My parents chose "Stephanie" because they thought it was unusual and different (back in the 60's - it was!).

I was named after my Danish grandfather ("Vilholm", or "Willliam") and my Irish maternal great-grandfather ("Michael"). I chose the confirmation name of St. Francis of Assisi, the "Little Brother" and founder of the Order of Friars Minor (Grey Friars, or Franciscans), hence "William Michael Francis -----------".
The combination of all three names, plus surname, translates thus: "Resolute, Godly, free son of a peaceful ruler".

RIGHT...LOL

My brother is also Chad (He's a country in Africa) I would always tease him by saying go get lost in the Sahara Desert.
