I keep getting an email from storm 2k with the website http://www.koin.org. I haven't tried to click it so I am not sure what it is. I am a little afraid to click it.

I did just vist the link and I have no idea what it is. It appears to be a message board of some type.

They could at least have not put their own user name in the filter list......

Ad-Aware scan was clean which is good as I was logged in at the time of the hacking. :D

I had 4 of them, 3 of which within 3 minutes (4:39am to 4:41am EST). The last came at 9:09am, and no I didn't click, knowing something was not right.

4:46pm: Running Spybot S&D and Ad-aware, nothing caught yet. May just be in the clear because I didn't do anything.

I checked the KOIN.org link this morning, and it was some kind of gangsta website.

I always find something on Ad-Aware, usually right at 10, and then delete them. That's not normal? I see some of it is pop-up ads. I use Firefox so I don't get many pop-ups though.

There is nothing to be worried as far as viruses are concerned. This was just a script kiddie using an exploit to cause problems. People like this need to be pittied because of their actions. Typically they can't create something good on their own so they concentrate on trying to destroy what someone else had built. I guess it makes them feel powerful. Destructive behavior will catch up with them sooner or later. When you break laws to get your revenge it's only a matter of time before it catches up with you. The prison's are full of people who've made this mistake in the past.

Computer cleaning. i just cleaned all my cookies and cache though to make sure. So far it is okay. I got three emails. I didn't open them from the link in the email but type them in. I didn't get a gangsta site. I didn't accept any cookies either from it. So hopely I am okay.

It is sad that people have so much time on their hands to do such things. I hardly have time to just come online anymore.

Is it the email address you registered with? That's why... they hacked into the database and got everyone's.
