My brother and I have both picked a good mess of
green beans, this weekend, and, the vines are
hanging full! :o We're gonna have green beans
out our ears!!

We have had green beans out our ears too Breeze.

In the last week we have picked 4 5-gallon buckets FULL from 2 rows. I need to probably pick again in a few days. We have canned most of them.
The storm that came through a couple of days ago has messed up the corn.

I hate that about the corn, Garrett! That's the only thing -
the taller the corn gets, the more susceptible it seems to
be to topple over in strong winds. We didn't allow enough
room for corn, but, I sure love it!

It did the same thing to a couple of our tall crimson red hollyhocks.

The tall stuff always get slammed by the wind! Did
you get pics of them?
Gotta question, Garrett.....just figuring stuff out...
(*whah, Breeze figuring??) :o LOL....how long are your
2 rows of green beans?

I am not sure...

How is that for an answer?? I will get back to you with the info. I have to head out there this evening and grab a few peppers.

LOL, it's too wet to get out in our's, this evening - it's
supposed to rain through Wednesday. I guess it may be
dry enough to walk in by the weekend!

10 foot rows...

I measured it with a tape measure because I couldn't remember. Can you see it... out in the rain?

It was quite humorous.

LOL, thanks - my bro was curious re: how long your rows
were vs. your crop yeild....he gets into that stuff....LOL!
BTW, I was sending you telepathy...."Garrett....don't trip
on the measuring tape......"
Thanks, buddy!

I'm coming to your house, breeze! My green beans aren't doing squat - I think my seeds rotted in the cold wet weather - am starting a new batch, though - I never give up!

Seedlady, we had to replant our okra - washed out in the May
floods. Just replant them - they'll come on up with the summer
sunshine! LOL, if all else fails, come on over, and we'll pick you
a lot of green beans!

I am curious now if my crop yield met up to his expectations.

Could you find out for me?
Also... I thought I heard someone when I was out there measuring. Just thought it was my sister mumbling, but it must have been your voice I heard.

Garrett, btw, your yield exceeded his expectations - very good! LOL!
The green beans are off limits, for a few days. Seems that the
japanese beetles have invaded. I went out to pick beans,
yesterday evening, and, the beetles were literally chewing the
leaves to resemble paper lace! :o So, I ran and told my
brother, and, out comes the Ortho! I guess the varmits decided
if they couldn't have the peach trees, they
would dine on beans, instead!
Watch out for the japanese beetles!
