Have a coworker who drives you CRAZY????

I have a couple of coworkers who have habits that drive me absolutely nuts!

One has this insane loud hyena laugh and she laughs about 100 times a day.

The other is a guy who sits behind me and POUNDS on his keyboard and has to eat the CRUNCHIEST food he can find. He makes excessive noise at every turn and yells on the phone.

Another guy has to walk to every cube every single morning and make his presence known. He doesnt care if you're on the phone or up to your eyeballs in alligators, he wants acknowledgement. If he doesnt get it, he grabs the top of your chair and pulls back. I've told him to F off more than once. GRRRR.

Anyone else???

I remember a female employee who laughed like a hyena who worked on the production floor at a textile company...I worked for the outlet store which was also a part of the company...anyway, whenever my boss and I heard her laugh a few minutes later after she was out of earshot we'd just crack up!

I work with a girl who has "the Nanny" voice - and boy her voice carry

My cube is kind of by itself, so I tune a lot of it out. After Katrina we moved operations to Baton Rouge for two months. It's amazing what you can learn about people when you sit right on top of each other! I lost all respect for one person.

I have to laugh at this one! The one that always drove me nuts was the obsequious arse-kisser, who either spent his time liberally browning his nose, or making sure the rest of us plebes new all about it. He used to sit across the hall from me, and since he spoke very loudly on the telephone, I could hear every word. He could fill my B***S*** Bingo card in one conversation.

Alice - like you, this guy would always make the rounds in the morning to scout out whatever gossip he could get, and it didn't matter how many fires you were putting out, he'd just stand there and eavesdrop or read your desktop and computer. I recall one time where he wouldn't leave and I asked my caller to hold a moment while I told this idiot, "Greg, why don't you shift your paradigm out of my office?"
:D

LOL, I've got a co-worker who doesn't listen to your answers to questions,
doesn't read instructions/memos, and wants to know what's going on, all
of the time. Basically, this person wants you to do the footwork and explaining
for them. I am quick to catch on, never-the-less.... I say, "I gave you a copy
of that - read it." Answer: "I can't find it - I guess I lost it." My response: "I can
only give it to you - it's up to you to keep up with it and do what you agreed
to do in that meeting."

Another co-worker: "I don't remember that - I must have been off, that day..."
My response: "Here's another copy of those notes from that meeting - your name
is under 'attending' - where's your notes?"

*Sighhhhh..... it's everywhere!

My boss drives me nuts and I've gone off on him a couple times already. We have been working in a crisis mode now for about 6 months straight. One crisis after another. Put off everything while we deal with the crisis for today. Then all the other jobs become a crisis. He acts like he's the only one who knows anything, and dispenses wisdom like a professor. Since we're struggling to meet deadlines, he'll move people in and out of a job, based on how busy they are, and we lose all continuity of thought. I am really starting to not care.

she's at it again, folks. only this time, she's screwed up the time cards. I had three days worth of comp time that she "forgot" to log in. Last month, she entered the wrong code for a day and a half of leave and it was charged as leave without pay to the tune of about 450 bucks! that's sheer negligence! but the boss thinks she's cute.

wonder how cute she'd look with a muzzle.... :grr:

Wow, I can relate to all of the above. A lot of it has to do with how busy I am and my frame of mind. Sometimes I can put up with the BS, cackling and loud mouths and sometimes I just want to "smack someone silly". :D

I get along with all of my co-workers except for 3 of them. And they the 3 of them are managers. 1 of them used to be my boss. Everyone hates her. She yells at you and screams at you for no reason. Her and I used to get in screaming matches almost everyday on the floor. I wasn't trying to get myself fired, but I had enough! There is only so much I could take! I left almost everyday in tears because of the way she was treating me. And yes, I did search for another job. But, could not find one at the time, so I was stuck. I filed so many complaints against her, that the store manager switched me. So, she is no longer my boss. She still works there, but I don't speak a word to her. I had to get on Lexapro mainly because of her. I started getting my panic attacks really bad and sunk into depression severely. Now that I no longer work with her, I managed to get off my anti-depressants. It is because of her I have not gotten a raise in 3 years.
And yes, I am going to start putting my resumes and applications out again. Hopefully, I will find a better paying job soon. I guess my problem has been scared to death to start something new. I have worked at Sears for 6 and half years. But, I just got to find something that pays better, because this job is not cutting it.
The other 2 that I said I don't get along with are her 2 best friends at work. 1 is my boss, the other one is not. But, she is still a manager. She always has a cocky attitude towards me for no reason. The 1 that is my boss, is nice to me to my face. But, she is 2-faced, and talks behind your back. That is why I don't like her. Everyone else at work, I don't really have a problem with.

this gal is a secretary. she always says she doesnt have time to do anything official but she's constantly on the phone with personal calls and planning her next vacation. i hope the next commander sees right through her crap and calls her on it.

i filed an official complaint about her through my boss this morning.

i have a problem with two other guys who work on another floor. one is just annoying beyond belief. he doesnt listen to anyone else's input.

the other one is a fundamentalist who proseltyzes at work and makes some very rash statements about anyone who doesnt go to his church. i've told him to "shut the f up" more than once.
