May I throw a brick at him. First what he did was wrong but how in the world can someone leave the scene knowing that they hurt innocent little children.

IDIOT! I agree wrecking was bad enough, but leaving was worse. He probably did not know what he hit, he just knew he wrecked while drunk so he took off.

There was an old man in Phoenix who hit a little girl earlier this month. He got out to see what he hit, saw her and left. She had been kidnapped by her mother's boyfriend last year after he murdered her grandparents and uncle. Horrible and sad story but the world has more than a few ruthless people.

Thank goodness that idiot is off the streets!
I dispatched a wrecker to an accident about 12 last night. The driver of the single car accident plowed into a home and through a green house. He was then stuck in the backyard. He was running from Bayou La Batre police. Turns out this guy was on his 8th DUI which is now a felony. 8 DUI's and it is just now a felony? Come on!!

I agree Lindaloo. I think every state is different, it is pretty strict here on DUI offenses, but I think they need to be stricter. After 3 you should not be allowed to drive at all for the next 10 years. And if you get caught you go to jail.

Problem is, simply taking one's license away does absolutely no good. They will drive anyway. They need to be locked up. Or the car needs to be impounded.
