Egypt maritime officials say a ferry with 1,300 people on board has disappeared in the Red Sea. A lifeboat has been spotted carrying 3 people near where the ship was last seen, as well as bodies floating in the water.
Apparently, it disappeared from the radar screen shortly after sailing from the port of Dubah. Its last position on the radar screen was 62 miles from Dubah.
It's a large ferry and they haven't found it yet.

Those ships are sold on the cheap and are not regulated or inspected...suprised this doesn't happen more often. This ship was a European throw-away...

Sad anyway.

Kinda reminds me of the Estonia disaster on the Baltic Sea in 1994.
