I remember one time while living in Ohio...I had a dog (Vizsla) named Captain who had been having some bouts of diarrhea...my Dad tried/managed finally to give him some Kaopectate to try to stem the tide so to say. A few scratches resulted but none the worse for wear.

My cat was amazing. The few times she needed meds she took them without complaint. She handled visits to the vet with the same grace; she would lie perfectly still and let the vet examine and treat her.

My Husky gets 1/2 a pill, twice a day. Some times she eats them like candy, other times I have to put it down her throat. My wife just wraps it in a piece of cheese. Glad we don't have a cat.

P.S. I've never given a pill to a cat, but I have given thyroid medication to a pet hamster -- honestly!!

I had a cat back when I was in High School, and getting her to take a pill was difficult, but not that hard.
