Hot diggity DOG.......FINALLY, after 6 YRS. of surfing the net with "dial up" I went HIGH SPEED today........my God MAN, it's flippin' FAST

Believe me it was He!! after Katrina and we didn't have the cable internet and I had to use my moms "crawl up" as Southerngale calls it.

I have said before...TV goes before my internet connection goes.
One thing you will notice, Dennis, is that the more spoiled you get over its speed...the slower you think it is once again.

Congrats! I went to hi-speed less than a year ago and now I couldn't imagine going without it.

I hope you didn't make the switch thinking you would finish what you are doing online faster because the connection is so much faster. You will find yourself spending even more time online because it is such a pleasure not having to wait for everything to load!

Yep... when I had dial-up I never spent hours at a time online.
Oh, and you'll notice that when your connection is very slow or goes out, you'll really take notice. I go into withdrawals when it goes out...

Just wait until the first time the phone rings. You about jump out of your skin! But ya get used to it. We've never gone back to dial up.

I love my cable modem ! Surfing with a crawle up made me cry when I had WindowsME. It took forever for a page to load.even with 328mbs of ram. Now I am running XP and cable modem, and everything is super fast!

My dial up was so slow I used to read a book while the pages loaded. I would never go back to dial up. Glad you were able to speed things up.
