I received a short but very nice PM from Sandi today. She said to everyone at Storm2K. Her update: she was able to move back into her house 2 weeks before Christmas. She's doing well but is very busy these days and doesn't have much time for email, PM's, topics. But her best news......

Sandi got engaged at Christmas! No wedding date set yet, she said they're in no big hurry.....

Isn't that the best news? And that she's back in her home now. She said they still have work to finish on it but it will get done.

I could tell she misses everyone. As we miss her.

PS - FYI to newbies, Sandi is an S2K Moderator, a favorite around here and sadly lost her house to a hurricane (2004), forgive me, I don't recall which one. I want to say one of the two back to back ones that hit Florida. She lost everything but she and her sons, and then boyfriend, now fiance survived.

GREAT to hear that Sandi and her sons have moved back into their house and CONGRATULATIONS TO HER & HER BEAU!!

Miss you, Wxbuddy, and whenever you have a little time for a quick visit here with your S2K Family please do!

Just popping in to say a couple of things..........

One - Mary, thanks for passing on my news and being the dear friend you are!!

Two - Garrett, Eric & Shannon........THANKS!! I miss you all too!! Ohio and Wxmann 91, thanks!!

Three- I do miss everyone here so much. For those who do not know me (or remember me) I have been here since S2K's birth and love it. The past year and a half have not been able to be very active due to the fact that hurricane Ivan ate my house and everything in it. With that said, Ivan did indeed turn out to be a blessing, so many miracles happened through the course of this past year and most were directly due to its wrath and what was left behind. Jeff and I were dating before Ivan but it was because of the tragedies that we became close and fell in love. My kids learned empathy, I was able to help others and learn to accept help when it goes against everything I knew. We built the house better than it was before (granted, I had to take out a 2nd mortgage to do it). My sister got pregnant during Ivan (she had been trying for 2 years) and gave us a beautiful baby girl. Miracles, miracles, everywhere..........it's all in how you look for them.........


Garrett and Donna (Isobar) came through for me here and were angels in a time of need. I have made so many dear friends on this board and I hope to be back full time. When cane season starts, I will spend most of my time in chat, so make sure you all stop in and see us lunatics follow this year's storms.

I love you all (even those I dont know)

Oh Sandi - thanks so much for that wonderful update, better than anything I could ever have dreamed of typing!

What I am most impressed with is your positive outlook after Ivan turned your world upside down. Instead of woe is me, you just pulled yourself up by the bootstraps so to speak and got to work. And work you did! I'm so happy for all your miracles!

Pop in occasionally like you're doing but we'll all look forward to the day you can be with us again, full time. And thanks for the Storm2K 101 history!

You're right, Mary. She has such a positive outlook and has been an inspiration long before Ivan came, and even more so now.

Sokay Johnathan!! I just wanted everyone to know that I have not had a day go by that I don't think of my friends and family here at S2K!! Especially those newer members who I have yet to get to know! I look forward to learning each person's beauty one post at a time! I am still at a stage where being here is tough (time wise) so I pop in when I can and try to stay in the "S2K Groove"........Keep up the good work folks!! You are all what makes this board AWESOME!!!!
