Good that he didn't have a Beyron then! 400kph (250mph, with a 0-60mph time of 3 seconds, 0-180mph time of 14 seconds 1001BHP, and a price of just £850,000 (About US$1.5M I guess)).

Hmmm, it doesn't look that bad to me. Really. And it also stated the Ferrari was going in excess of 125, not 200. But still way to fast it would seem to survive. But I guess for what one of those cars cost it better have superior saftey.

it says that the sheriff estimated 200 MPH in the title, he should be dead...he got real lucky...live today to die tomorrow? maybe...

Well even if he was only going 125 mph he's still lucky to be alive. People get killed by hitting someone or something at a lot slower speed...

You think it's OK for someone to go over 100 mph on a public road? He could have killed someone coming at a fourth of the speed he was estimated to be going at.

It kind of reminds me of my youngest son's car after he went off the mountain in Rocky Mount , N. C. after he hit black ice on the interstate. He went airborne over the edge and landed nose first and tumbled end over end 7 times before landing upside down against a tree. Son was hanging upside down from the moonroof and tried to get out but his foot was caught due to his shoelace of his boot getting caught in a crack in the dashboard. He smelled gas and paniced and jerked his leg so hard he tore the leather lace portion off the boot and broke both the bones in his lower leg. He also had internal injuries that were life threatening if they had not been treated as soon as they were. It took him a full year to fully recover from his injuries and then he turns around and goes and buys a crotch rocket motorbike. No wonder I was so glad to hear it had been stolen off the pier on base when he was out on the ship doing carrier quailifiacations.

It is not the cars fault, it is the drivers. Last time I checked it is illegal to drink and drive.

There arent that many McLarens around either, so it should be fairly simple to find a witness to the event and find out who was indeed driving (though the blood on the airbag seems to be a blatant indication...)
