I don't know if this is the correct post to place here, but I figured I'd post it because I am an advocate for equal rights to all. Wouldn't this fly in the face of what the Catholic church's stance is on this?

Very Interesting.

I'm an advocate for equal rights to all. That's why I'm barely a Catholic anymore either. Interesting article but as I age, I'm less and less judgemental or I try very hard not to judge others. And I know so many Catholics that judge many, all the time! So much that I just have distance myself. But my beef with CC is how they've approached the sexual abuse by priests. Calling it a scandal. When in reality their main focus I believe should have been with the victims and second, arrest and prosecution of offensive priests, not shuffling them around parish to parish. Scandal.....that one word really sets me off. Yes it is but face it and deal with it. And side with the victims, for once. Don't even get me started on how they feel about the gay community. OMG, they believe it's a sin. See there, I am half Catholic, I've been using the word they as I'm not even one. I've been putting off making the decision - to remain a Catholic, keep my own personal views or leave.
