What are some of the songs you have downloaded?

I just downloaded "Castles in the Air" - Don McLean, "Healing Hands" - Elton John.

Also; "Time of Your Life" - Obscure, "You and Me" - Lifehouse, "Let's STay Together" - Al Green, "Chain of Fools" - Aretha Franklin.

I have over 300 songs. I have one of those IPod shuffles. :D

dont have an ipod, the songs sound clipped. my husband worked as a sound engineer for concerts some time ago and said the quality of the music is less than you would expect for $1 a piece and the outrageous price of the Ipod itself.

I got a 30GB iPod Video at the beginning of this year. I don't see how I ever lived without one.

Alicia, if the sound is poor quality, it's either low-quality MP3's or improper EQ settings. My iPod is darn near acoustically perfect, at least as close to perfect as you can get with digital media.

I got both my kids the ipod that holds 1000 songs for christmas. They enjoy it. They say all the students listen to their music while walking to their next class on the college campus.

I use mine a lot when I travel. Time spent waiting goes much faster with music. I also like it when I walk.

Well, this entire family iPods. Our current computer is a G5 Mac. Hubby has an iMac and so does our college aged daughter (small student type). Her sister has an old iMac, her dad refurfished to do homework on.

A Microsoft product wouldn't even be allowed thru our front door!

So yeah we all iPod (or I should say they do, I've yet to really get into them, but there's an old iPod Mini sitting here waiting for me).

BTW, we buy many of these as refurbs, thru the Apple website - you save a lot that way.

And finally, I joke that Steve Jobs is my hubby's guru.....he hates when I say that!

I do not have an IPod, although I do have an MP3 player. So what's the difference anyway? They both play songs..

I have an iPod. My wife and myself go it for Christmas. It was a combined gift to each other. We got the 30GB one, and now have over 2000 songs on it. Almost our entire CD collection is on it. Its great for long road trips, as we no longer have to search for a radio station. Just plug the iPod into the cassette player and we are off. Probably some of the best money that we have spent. The wife buys songs off of iTunes, and we move them from her PC to mine, and then onto the iPod as the iPod has been set up for Windows instead of a Mac.

My son wanted an iPod for Christmas - he got a Sony MP3 player  When I went in the store to look at them, the clerk started showing me the iPods, then asked what age my son was. When I told him 13, he headed over towards the Sonys! No way am I spending that much on something for a kid who loses things on a daily basis. If he doesn't lose it, he will probably break it (although he has been very careful with his MP3, I must admit; guess he is growing up!).

Yes we iPod! All the time, playing music thru the car stereo, on car trips too. A song came on the radio yesterday as I was driving, it was a special 90s flashback lunch and I've heard it before but of course couldn't write it down. Hoping someone here knows this song.

- DJ said it was recorded in 1999, it came out around the time of high school graduations
- Artist's last name began with an L.
- It's a song but narrated by an older man, with music playing in the background.
- He is giving timely, sage advice to young graduates.
- Such as, be kind to your elders, b/c.....remain close to your siblings, b/c.....always wear sunscreen, b/c......live in NYC once in your life time but don't stay there, live in LA once in your lifetime, but don't stay there....on and on.

Since my daughters are into buying songs on iTunes, I think they'd like this song.

If anyone knows which one I'm talking about, I'd appreciate an artist and/or the song title's name. It's a really cool song!

Thanks. (Sometimes you guys are better than googling a vague question like this!)
