Tonight I had to put my 6 year old cat "Big Head" to sleep.
I came home and he was paralyzed from the back down....i guess he got hit by a car. My daughter was with me and she expeirenced it.....we just pet him till he went to sleep......150$ at the emergency vet...
I told my daughter he is in kitty heaven now with God and hes in a better place.
Prayers for Big Head......thanks..
we called him big head cause he had such a fat head when he was a kitten then he grew into it...

I know what it's like to lose a cat, heck...in October 2002 (teh time my family lived in infamy), we had to give up all 5 cats to a local animal control because some greedy apartment manager wanted us out.
Thoughts and prayers sent your way.

Sometimes it seems that the animals treat us better than a lot of people. That's sad about Mr. Big Head.

Poor kitty.

I know I already told you, but again I will say, I am so sorry to hear that Big Head has gone to kitty heaven, although he will be very much missed he is in a better place now. Pets are very much apart of our families and I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It was nice that you were able to be there for him during the procedure. Not everyone feels able to do it. I am sure he was calmed by your presence and love.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
