For all of you fishermen and hunters out there, do you go *hi tech* or do you depend on your internal *fish finder and hunting guide*? With this being the BUSIEST up on the mountain that I've witnessed in 38 yrs, I'm seeing SO MUCH techno stuff on boats, campers etc, I wonder how the fish stand a chance, GEEEESH!

Bare bones fishing for me, sometimes i even forget the bait lol. As long as i have my brewski for aroung the fire....YeeHaw. I don't do much hunting anymore too many city-ots (idiots from the city) out there for me. Half of them shoot at the first thing that moves, wether it is an animal or human.

When fishing in the 10,000 Lakes of Minnesota, I had one of the very first "Fish Finders" (1977); it didn't really improve my "net" catch (those Northern Pike must have had "detectors", y'think?), but at least I knew where they WERE...
As to hunting? I am (or, was) a traditional "stalker", just my Mauser/BRNO VZ-24 rifle, "iron sights"; walking in the game area VERY slowly, following tracks; using my eyes and ears to find the whitetails before they found me. No "licks", nothing to "up the ante" when I went afield. To me, anything else is, simply put, "cheating" Nature.

Fish finders do just that....they find the fish, they don't tell ya how to catch them. that you have to do on your own. i do have to say that I absolutely despise the new underwater cameras that some so called fishermen have mounted on their rigs.

Amen Blizzard! Can't tell you how many sad, fatal hunting accidents happen out west here, especially during the early hunts, we had 2 young uns, 10-14 yrs old respectfully, killed the first day of opening elk hunt. We draw for our hunting tags in Az., a lottery system, 99.99% of the tags go to out of state hunters, MO' MONEY of course, the other .005% are local hunters while the OTHER .005% are Valley residents, I, by no means, mean any disrespect towards them, but as you said, city-ots GEEEESH!
Now to fishing, "LOL @ Blizzard!" I thought that's what fishin' was all about, beer! Ain't that the truth, I see more *so called Bass Pros* with over 5K$ in * hi tech gadgets* to help them catch the *hog* .........sigh........wonder if them ol boys even know what a *cane pole* is "LOL!"

Well, Dennis, you could attach a fly and some monofilament line to your 7-iron next time you're near a water hazard...
