BLACKWORM VIRUS! WATCH OUT!

#1 Postby whereverwx » Wed Mar 08, 2006 10:40 pm

I just got infected with the blackworm virus. I have no idea how I got it, but it was shortly after i searched for "mirc ascii" in Google. I'm trying to fix it. I just downloaded Symantec W32.Blackmal.E Remover 1.01... so hopefully that will remove it.

I also have that damn WinFixer virus. I had it before and removed it, but now it is back and annoying. :grr: :grr: :grr:

You may be infected by 'Blackworm'! We recommend you DOWNLOAD
one of these security software programs to prevent further malware infections

The dangerous 'Blackworm' computer virus activated February 2006 and has started destroying data on computers it has reached. The lethal virus, which has already infected over 1,000,000 computers in several countries, continues to spread rapidly over the Internet.

The pop up that told me that is spyware itself.

Thanks for the heads up, my virus is up to date and scans daily. I need to run my spyware though, going to read about it now. Good luck.
