Well as you are no doubt aware NWS SPC went to a high risk for MO/IA today. Other details are in the USA Weather forum, but at this point, all we can do is to pray. So please pray for everyone in the path of what looks to be a horrific outbreak today and tonight. :(

My yard is a swamp. Wishing I could send this precip to Dennis. A ditch our builder put in way in the back of our properties is full of water and it seems to be going nowhere (usually moves along to a storm drain).

What are our chances for a tornado watch today?

I'd say pretty good. We'll have to see what happens but most are thinking its an overnight event right here.

You got it, Jeremy. I'm heading over to USA Weather to check it out some more.

Miss Mary...you could send some of that to parts of Texas and Oklahoma as well, where's there's EXCEPTIONAL drought conditions. :(

Pierce City got hit in '03 if I remember right, and it missed Monett that time. This one looks like it hit there dead on.

Well after all this is said and done I just hope that everyone will be ok and be able to pick up and go forward. I'm hoping that no one has lost anything but as we all know with mother nature, most of the time we have no control over that. I'm still hoping though.

Garrett checked in and is OK, the twister missed him by a couple blocks he said. Read the sticky check in topic in the USA wx forum for details (2nd post down). :)

We are fine here in Florence. Storms missed me last night by about 40-50 miles to the southeast. Had some wind damage overnight however which I am getting ready to report to NWS.
