We should have someone going around to let people know who the known sex offenders are in our area. Also I can't believe they let these people free thinking they are going to be fine to go out into the public. People can easily lie and tell them they are ok.

Why are they letting these sickos out? They don't deserve to be out. And the judge...what was the person thinking when they made this decision.

Just wait until you read this story. They're trying to impeach the judge who let this sicko go, on probation.

I had a long car ride to make yesterday and this story was the focus of one call in radio show. Criminal experts, social workers, listeners, radio show host - all enraged this man wasn't locked up. The program gave out the website to find out how many sex offenders live in your zip code. I didn't write it down but it's been posted on local news sites in the past. Apparently, law abiding citizens would be shocked to learn so many live so close to them/families/children. I'm glad my girls are older.

I can't understand it either, you harm a child, you need to put in jail for a life, or the very least, a very long time.

It's really sad.

this is a bit misleading. the article above is not about the two girls, the guy who attacked them, or the judge who let him go... am i missing something???

the guy turned himself in, btw, after a 4 day manhunt. he was thirsty and went to a cousin's house.

Didn't really turn himself in just went to a relatives and was getting water out of a hose she seen it and called police...Not much longer after that they found him in nearby woods...He had a gun but did not use it...

A registered sex offender accused of raping two 17-year-old girls in an underground dungeon was arrested Friday near his South Carolina home.
A woman called police to report seeing Hinson in her backyard, WBTW-TV in Florence reported.
Hinson allegedly kidnapped the two girls, who lived near him in rural Darlington County, and confined them in a room concealed by a trap door in a backyard shed late Monday. The girls eventually escaped.
He was on parole after serving half of an 18-year sentence for raping a teenage girl. In 1998, the state tried to have him civilly committed as a violent predator but a judge refused.
Until he was spotted Friday, Hinson had not been seen since Tuesday. Police had been using helicopters and dogs to search the area, and many area residents told The State newspaper they had been keeping shotguns handy.

Not really sure where to put this one...but click on this link and you can enter your address...a map comes up with a house on it (which is where the address you typed in is) it shows locations of sex offenders, rapists....in your area and if you click on the square a pic pops up of the convicted.
