soda pop - hehe

No, I haven't tried it...sounds kinda funky though. I like coke and coffee, but I can't really imagine them together though.

I'm still trying to come to terms with Diet Vanilla Cherry Dr Pepper. This might be too much for me to deal with.

I tried the Berries and Cream Dr. Pepper. Tasted like regular Dr. Pepper.

We were discussing Blak at a party tonight--only one had tried it and he thought it was worth a second try. It seems to be Coke's attempt to get in on the energy drink craze.

I use to drink coffee, but it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth after a few months.

I do like to drink coke though.

it's not an energy drink and has a remarkably low number of calories: 45 for an 8 oz bottle.

Then what's the point of all the extra caffeine? :D

Well, being an addicted Pepsi drinker, I'd probably not want to try this. If they were giving out samples in the grocery store, maybe I'd sip it.

I'll take Coke as back up in a restaurant.

But if I want a cola, I drink Pepsi. When I want coffee, I order coffee.

Mixing the two sounds strange. And brings to mind another odd mixture, from the LaVerne & Shirley show - remember LaVerne's favorite drink? Milk and Pepsi! Yuck! So I say coffee and Coke - yuck! Without even tasting it.

Pepsi makes me gag.

Coke Blak has 45 calories and 46 milligrams of caffeine per 8-ounce bottle, compared with 140 calories and 35 milligrams of caffeine in a 12-ounce can of Coke Classic.

It is not listed as an energy drink or a hybrid energy drink on the Coke web site.

From all my research yesterday, it seems the caffeine is the same as most soft drinks so I think its just another flavor to add to their product list.

I prefer Pepsi but I do drink a lot of the Diet Coke products like Coke Zero, and Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke. I will definitely have to try Coke Blak whenever I see it.
