I am so mad right now. I couldn't start up my computer most of the day and I did a system recovery on the first screen that comes up. I got it reloaded and most of my files are gone. All of my favorites are gone most everything this is gone. Does anyone know anything about computers maybe the files were saved somewhere cause I will have the same amount of free space on my hard drive. Please help!!!

Can you do a system restore back to when it was working fine?

I tried it says that I don't have any restore points before today!!!

And my antivirus automatically saves a restore point everyday

SouthFloridawx, I have several questions for you.

1. What type of broswer do you normally use?

2. Prior to this did you install any software on the computer that could cause this?

Anyways, this is what you could do (if any luck)... you could go to start key, click on run and you will then see a dialog with typeable text. Type in "explorer", you will see a window loading up, then hit the search key in type in "bookmarks.html" and search if you see any file named after that.

after all that yesterday, it is doing the same thing today. I am lucky i have this laptop here cause if not I would be up crap creek and no paddle. I am going to call tech support tonight to see if they might know what is going on.

Thank god it's still under warranty as I only bought it a little over a year ago.
