Since we unfortunately are not allowed to make polls without moderator approval; and I know for a fact that this one would not be approved, let's just do it without a poll.
Do you park backwards or not? If so why do you do it?

Do you mean intentionally back into a parking space, so you can exit easier, by going forward?
I read magazines backwards - that might be the only thing I do backwards (and no I'm not left handed but my brother is and I copied him at a young age).

I live in Puerto Rico, they park anyway they want here. Even in the street.

I mean parking like this:

With the back of your car closest to the building as opposed to the front of your car.

We intentionally back in church parking lot spots. Otherwise no one will allow you to back up. Those church goers are mean-mean in the parking lot! That's about the only time we back into a spot. Otherwise you are waiting until the parking lot empties out.

I try to as much as possible, it's a lot easier to pull out, I hate it when I can't see behind me

That one I would have to agree with.
Some communities though give tickets if you back into your parking space, at least from what I have heard. I have yet to see one that actually does this; however.

No I don't, but my hubby does. It kinda drives me crazy. It seems to be more of a man thing, I see men doing it all the time. You are gonna have to back up one way or another weather it be coming in or leaving, so I don't really understand it, unless it is for good reason as Mary said to make getting out easier on certain occasions, but my old man does it all the time.

I used to live in Iowa and in the winter, lots of people park backwards in case they need a jump start in the cold winters.
