I cannot see my-self paying out $2000 to a day care a month! I rather be save that money and stay home.I worked in grocery stores for 16 years and my last year was the last time I ever work at one again.Mean reason was the manger when she told me that I need to give up my daughter for work!!!The employers here in S.C will NOT work with you if you have children.I know one guy that is working 3 jobs to make ends meet!!His first job is full-time and the other two are too pay the day care!!He told me if gas prices go over $3 a gallon then he would have to look for a fourth job.

I think it would be so much smarter for a mother to stay home and take in other children to care for. If people are making this much money for child care, sounds like a good job to me.....Sounds like they are making more money than mothers who are working outside the home, no gas, no lunches, no working clothes to buy.

i dont like little kids enough to take care of someone else's. ugh

we were very fortunate to have lived in SE Asia for several years while the kids were small. we had a nanny who lived with us. it was a lifesaver since we were on the road a LOT.

Average in Canada is over $2,000 per month for daycare. I say, "live with it", we have.
