What is one article of clothing you wouldn't be caught dead wearing in public?

Maybe a few years ago you would have looked ok in it, but not now.

Me..... a tube top

Hated 'em in the 80's.

Still hate 'em. On everyone.

Tube tops and letting my bra straps show - both no-no's, in my book.

Wait, did I just sound incredibly old just then? LOL

 Definately a MINI skirt!! I still look ok in one, I just don't think it is "age-appropriate"!!

Despite it's popularity among people my age, I wouldn't be caught dead with my collar popped. Hate that trend, in my opinion, it doesn't make people "look cool" like they think. Nothing against those people, I just think the trend looks awful.

"tight rolled" pants a-la "Miami Vice"

"Feathered Hairdo" on men (also circa 1982)

ditto the Parachute Pants

A male SPEEDO (especially thong style)...never have worn one...never will!

I am sure there are more and I will post them if they come to mind!

Girl pants. They're back in style and I can't figure out why.

Here's another - the sweater of a twin set tied around your neck. I will NEVER wear a sweater like that. In my opinion, you either wear it or you don't. I'd rather wear it around my waist than my neck!

I wore jeans and t-shirts 15 years ago and still do. One thing that comes to mind as a child was those corduroy pants and short sundek shorts guys use to wear back in the early 1980's. Never would be caught dead in anything like that.

Do you mean wearing a tube top AND a bra, and the straps show because the tube top doesn't go over the shoulder? That WOULD be incredibly tacky. If you're going to wear a tube top you can't wear a bra, right?

Or is a tube top a separate issue from letting your bra staps show?

As for me, I would never be caught dead in a polyester liesure suit.

Ed - when I was a teenager, girls never allowed their bra straps to show. Young girls today don't care! When this fad started, it bugged me. At first the straps were clear but now girls are buying them at Victoria Secret, in daring colors even.

I've asked my friends if they remember our covered up phase - oh yeah, they can't believe how young girls dress.

Yeah I know they're in style Linda but I ain't wearing them like that. LOL

The tube top and the bra straps were separate examples! Thought that was understood....

LOl Mary...you'll hardly ever catch me w/o a cashmere sweater tossed over my shoulders! We have such a varying degree of temp drops here every day that I'e found its cute and practical!
