I hope they don't give him the death penalty. He wants to be a martar. I hope they give him life and put him in general population so our Americans in prison can punish him, if you know what I mean. Death is too easy for him.

CNN just said he got life.

In my opinion, this is a much stronger punishment because he said he wanted to die, and the death penalty would only be fulfilling his wish, so imo, this is the appropriate punishment

Agreed. Part of me wanted him to be put to death, but the fact that it's so quick and painless now, and the fact that he WANTED that, made me feel differently.

I am very supportive of the jury's decision. I hope this will be a lesson learned for any terrorists who want to hurt our country.

I think this is the right decision. Though I suspect that they'll put him in isolation away from the other prisoners.

Maybe he'll think long and hard about what he did. He'll certainly not have anything else to do.

I just hate we get to pay for him to eat.

"America, you lost. I won!"

Whatever, you (unspeakable)! You're going to rot in jail. How is that winning?

Yes, and to make matters worse, he will probably get his food to order. He will probably demand food styles from his homeland (special prepared meals different from other inmates). He will have human rights groups in the US making sure he is getting what his religion states too. That is what I hate.

Taxpayers should demand he eat what all the other inmates eat or go to bed hungry.

Mousoui needs to spend a few years in a concentration camp, subject to very severe condiitons. That would be the appropriate punishment for him. Very hard work, little food, and constant beatings. Punishment fits the crime perfectly.

But of course, he will end up at some stinking country club

I doubt that supermax qualifies as a country club, he'll sit alone in a cold concrete room (with bars) for 23 hours a day, 1 hr he'll get to be out of his cell individually. I doubt that he'll be having a good time. I don't support the idea of torturing prisoners, we're better than that as a country, and we shouldn't lower ourselves to the level of those who would.
