I have never had a problem with such things, but this is crazy... I have never had a problem with any other news anchors, ever... but this guy just rubs me the wrong way... I wonder if there have been any complaints about him... or if I am the only one who feels this???

My mom's been venting about KXAS NBC 5's Met, David Finfrock talking down at the viewers as if we're kindergarteners, and sports reporter Dale Hansen from WFAA ABC 8, who was barred from the Cowboys locker room one year.

This is the dude I cant stand!!!

Byron Miranda
Byron Miranda joined KPRC Local 2 on Jan. 23, 2006, as the meteorologist for Daybreak and Midday.

Relocating to a major city was nothing new for this weather veteran. He has lived in Atlanta (while working at CNN), Chicago (working at WMAQ) and Los Angeles (working at KCBS).

Byron Miranda

He calls California home since his family is from the San Francisco area. He graduated from California State University, Hayward with a degree in communications. Byron earned his certificate in meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Byron believes he has the perfect job because he loves "talking to the viewers and delivering the weather."

He has been honored for his work, winning the Golden Mike for Best Weathercaster in Southern California.

Byron says he has many favorite movies, but considers "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" with Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach as one of the all-time best.

Because Byron is new to Houston, he doesn't have any favorite restaurants yet. He says viewers should feel free to e-mail him some suggestions because he knows Houston has some excellent eateries.

When he's not delivering the forecast, Byron enjoys working out, running and lifting weights ("but not too heavy").

Byron considers himself a friendly guy and wants viewers to know, "If you see me on the street, don't look at me like I'm crazy, just say 'hi.' Maybe I'll return the favor during the show between 5 and 7 a.m."

Byron is looking for mini weather watchers for Daybreak. For more, click here.

Jim Carrey used to drive me nuts. Way back when he was a cast member of In Living Color and then his earlier movies. All those wacky facial contortions he does, showing his teeth, I just cringed each time he'd do it.

And then The Truman Show came along.

Jim Carrey no longer drove me nuts. I became a Jim Carrey fan.

If I had to pick a current celeb it would be a two way tie - Brad Pitt and/or Angelina Jolie. TWC speaking, it was always Lisa Mozer. She didn't even know her Geography!

According to Larry Mowry (Channel 6 met in Orlando), who I spoke to today, Bryon was at one point a met in Las Angeles but "something" supposedly happened (not sure what) and then he moved to Houston. He was supposedly a rising star, but this "something" changed that.

I agree though...HE IS BORING!

there's a guy on one of the Pensacola stations who just makes my skin crawl. His name is Christian Garmin.
