There is a gas station near my apartment that has the 89 octane pumps set at .285 instead of 2.85. My neighbor just told us about it about an hour ago. My brother and I just filled up for about $4.00! LOL~

It's about time Exxon gave a little bit back to the American people.

DANG! And I thought maybe this was going to be about one of those "metric" pumps they tried back in the 70's with disastrous results.... almost worth the ride over there to gas up!

Unfortunately I'm quite certain this matter has already been addressed.

My nieghbor Bobby said he found out around 8:00 this morning and it's still set like that. I just sent my friends from tap dancing class up there.

My brother actually paid cash 4.00 because he had trouble with his credit card.. He actually went back in and got his 75 change! LOL Bobby paid 7.00 cash and his car only took 3.80 and he just drove off without going back in for his change! LOL

It must be some sort of promotion. otherwise they'd have caught it with the first purchase.

It wasn't a promotion. I called my drummer Rob to go up there to get some but he said the price had been reset. That was about 1/2 an hour ago.

I've heard about the automatic pumps accidentally being set with the decimal point in the wrong place. Seems like an expensive promotion to me -- gas for 10% of the regular price? I imagine it's probably an error and somebody's gonna be in big trouble when the owner finds out.

When i went up there, there was no line. I took a couple pictures of the gas station when I was waiting at the red light across the street.
It was a decimal point set wrong just as Duck pointed out.

Well if it truly was a mistake someone's gonna get fired.

Big time. I would think the manager or whoever's job it was to set the pump prices this morning.

Actually, no they wouldn't. They would not catch it until the end of the day. Someone is in deep trouble.
