They sell thousands of special things on tv. "As Seen On TV".

Have you ran to the phone and brought any of these and how did you like it?

No, I bought most of those "As seen on TV" items from the Walgreens stores. And I thought they said "Items not available in stores". Liars!

I bought 2 pairs of "Blublocker" sunglasses At Wal-mart about a week after QVC had them on and said they could not be bought at a stores. This was way back when they first came out with Blublockers. They must have improved by now becuse the shades put off an orangeish tint and the colors weren't right, I took one pair back but kept the other pair ONLY because I didn't have any sunglasses at the time. I finally got a good pair and threw the others away. Uh, they were awful!!!

I do remember the Pocket Fisherman commercial. To be honest with you, I mute the commercials or turn them way down. I usually take that time to do things like wash and dry a few dishes, get something to eat etc. I don't even watch the superbowl commercials!! I just can't sit there and watch footbal just to see the commercials.
Thank goodness for a tv in my room so I can escape everyone else watching!!

Nice pic.

I do see some nice exercise bikes, etc. once in awhile. I am sure I could get a way better deal at Walmart, KMart or some other store. Penneys and Sears have them on sale a lot.

It's all crap. I did buy one of those whisk thingies that you could supposedly twist and use to flip pancakes or grab things. It is crap and doesn't have enough strength to hold up a hummingbird. I bought it at one of those "As Seen On TV" stores for kicks.

Still whisks fairly well, but always disassembles itself in the dishwasher.

John really liked the level that was a laser that you put against the wall and had a laser light along the wall. I hope I am saying it right. He did not get it tho.

My mom bought those. Gave me one, and it still sits in the drawer. You are right it has no strenth at all. I just use my regular wisk to wisk things up. It just sits and collects dust. My mom is a sucka for those infomercials.

I bought the food saver vacuum sealer and love it, I also have the ronco rotisserie(sp) and the Magic Bullet mixer. I have had great results will all of them so I don't think it's all crap. However, My wife ordered the super whisk spatula thing and it really does suck almost completely useless.

The one that cracks me up the most is that pasta tube thing.

They bemoan the regular way of cooking pasta, which involves 'endless waiting' on water to boil before you can toss the pasta into the pot.

Then they tell you you can save time with this tube thingie. Just throw your pasta in a big cylinder and add.....boiling water.

Which you presumably had to wait on endlessly.

I was going to say I have never bought any of that stuff, but I do have a Gazelle, and I think that they have informercials for that (I don't really watch much TV). I love the Gazelle though (when I can get in the habit of actually using it!)

I clean houses and recently bought the one sweep broom. Its the black rubber looking thing. I have to say its pretty cool! Especially for dog hair It gets enough to make another dog! And it squeeges wet floors too pretty cool.

I was going to mention the Gazelle too. I love mine, but I bought it on sale at Penney's a few months ago, not from an infomercial. I checked the ratings on Amazon first, and was pleased. I exercise on it every night. Put on a DVD or find something on TV to watch and the time just flies by. I particularly like to workout with a Bon Jovi concert DVD on...keeps me going fast. :)

Have you guys ever seen the shirt folder? I crack up when I see it every time. It's supposed to save you time folding laundry. If I need a gadget to help me fold laundry, I think it's time to get a maid.

I don't remember if this is the one in the commercials, but I found this one online:
