What is your favorite piece of jewelry that you have?
I have to name two cause of course my wedding ring is one. The other is Johns mothers ruby ring she bought in New York in l929. She left a note with it. It is very pretty.

I used to wear a costume jewelry fake diamond pinky ring. One Christmas I lost it - couldn't find it anywhere. On Valentines Day, Craig gave me a small box. In the box was a ring exactly like my pinky ring only it was real!! Craig had taken my fake ring to the jeweler and had him make the identical ring with beautiful gold and diamonds. After Craig died I took my engagement ring and the pinky ring to the jeweler and had him make them into one ring. It's beautiful and has so many memories. I love it.

That is just wonderful. Lucky girl.
I have watches, but haven't worn one since I last worked in the workplace. I just don't find a need to wear one at home. So, I just got in the habit of never wearing one

I have a gold chain with a gold St Christopher on it. It was given to me by my ex-girlfriends mother who had it blessed by a Catholic priest (as she is Catholic) and a Churh Of England Minister as that is my faith. It has never come off and will never come off until I pass it to my son on his 18th birthday.

my favorite pieces are a right hand anniversary ring (15 diamonds) and my engagement ring (15 carat museum quality emerald-cur amethyst). my wedding ring doesnt even come off, so i dont consider that jewelry; it's become part of my hand!
i have tons of jewelry since we travel so much, it's tough to pick just one or two. it would be easier if you could pick 2 favorite rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.

Wow, 15 carats..... I am impressed.
My sis-in-law has a 5 carat single stone and I thought that was huge. But my father was a jeweler in California, so he got it at cost.

Me too. John went out and picked it out himself. I do wear other jewelry when I go out, but just this ring at home.

Alicia, I can't imagine a 15 carat ring on a finger. It would take up half your finger. Is it uncomfortable at all to wear?

Along with the mens look thread, I am odd in another non-typical female way. I'm not into jewelry. I have a very modest engagement ring and I love it. The diamond is simple, solitary and 1/3 carat. Nothing more. My ears were pierced when I was 13 and the holes never close up. I might wear a pair of earrings a handful of times, a year. I haven't worn a necklace in YEARS!
This whole thread cracks me up. When I'm shopping with friends and they veer off into the jewelry section, I have to hit another dept. I am so bored there!
I've also never worn or owned eye shadow. A friend of mine wanted to borrow my blue eyeshadow once and I said I don't own any. Oh you ran out? I said no, I've never purchased it. LOL Then I went into my schpiel - If God wanted us to have colored eyelids, we would have been born with them.
Yeah, go ahead and say it - I'm strange. But that's just me. Jewelry? Not for me. Think of money I've saved over the years!!!!
Thanks for the laughs though alicia. I'm picturing you scrubbing toilets wearing a ring that heavy.
