Summer Is Coming Up

#1 Postby Janice » Wed May 10, 2006 2:04 pm

Well, what is your favorite summer sport? Do you like boating, fishing, golfing, etc.? Now that the warm weather is finally here, time to get out and do all you can before the weather gets bad.

I won't be doing any of those this summer, with our crisis and cane season coming up, we will stay home this year and not vacation. But..... we will walk down to the beach as much as possible. I love good long walks, looking at peoples yards to see how they landscape, etc. and have a small lunch on the beach at one of their little eateries. That is like a mini vacation to me.

Janice, I'd be jumping into that pool you have in your back yard.

I love to golf, fish, and camp. I may do a little of all three this summer.

We'll be going on a missions trip to Mexico for 2 weeks, have 2 camping trips planned with friends, teaching VBS at our church, football and cheer practices/camps for the kids, and hopefully find some time for the beach! Our summer is booked solid...hoping some time frees up for a trip to Louisiana and/or Fla.

LOL  :uarrow:

Biking, fishing, camping, but my favirote is swimming... in a pool, beach, or springs. The spring being my favirote because the water stays nice and cold (72*) and its crystal clear, good for snorkeling.

Does calculus count? I don't have much of a choice in that being my favorite summer sport this year. :x

Anywho, golf, basketball and swimming are my favorite actual summer sports.

My favorite summer activity is basically anything to do with the water. I love swimming. I don't own a pool and none of my neighbors or close friends have one either. So, I save my money and join the nearby gym that has a pool. I join for the whole summer. I could spend the whole day in the water.

Another thing I love is being out on the boat and going fishing. We own a fishing camp. But, I barely get to go and we own a boat. I can only go when my dad decides to take me. And it is rare because he works offshore where all he sees is water for a whole week. And when he is home, he does not want to see water. If I had a truck, and knew how to hook up a boat and take it off the trailor by myself, I would go on my own.
