Hey, I couldn't find the old chat post. We need a sticky.

Come on guys, time to start coming to the chatroom. Now with the season so close, it is a good time to chat with all the posters.

This is a Storm2k private chatroom. Family oriented, no dating, etc.

The crowd really starts coming later, around 8 or so. We talk about everything. When the cane season is in progress, it will go to Weather Chat only. People have waited all year and are serious with their weather only chat, which is good.

Now that we can kind of chat about anything, come and meet everyone. If you need help getting there, just contact one of the mods. You can use mirc, which most people use, I think. Download mirc.com..... the channel is Stormdancing and the room is Storm2k.

During cane season you will find the room full all day and night.

The mods and admins will be in there too, and you will see that they cut a rug too.

So, before the season gets started, come and get to know the people and room. Last year during Katrina, we had over 100 people in the room at one time.

There is a privacy pop up that comes up first that you must select Yes on..

Its also an irc chat.. So if you have MIRC or Pirch you can use that as well

I strongly suggest MIRCH or PIRCH or whatever so you can be in 2 rooms at once. During the off season, the Storm2k chat gets off topic quite a bit. With hurricane season just around the corner (ack!), we will be redirecting most of the off topic chit-chat to the Off Topic chatroom. Of course there will be some with greetings and whatnot but sometimes we get into various discussions about "whatever" -- those will be sent to Off Topic as we'll be getting many non-regular chatters popping in to talk about the tropics, and we want to keep the theme of the room to just that....weather.

The chat is a lot of fun... especially when there's a lot of people in there(10-12 or so right now is a lot, but once we have something tropical to track 10-12 will seem boring).

No boring people allowed in the chatroom.....
