Fruits and Vegetables

I remember seeing ads in magazines, etc. advertising fruits and vegetables grown with their products would produce tomatoes the size of grapefruits, etc. You could grow giant pumpkins, etc.

Have you ever tried any of these in your garden? I think some even advertised having plants or seeds that would produce these giants.

My grandma bought one of those tomatoe tree plants, and it did, well, .... nothing. The way to grow the huge vegis is to have great soil and fertilize alot. I have watched those shows with the competitions for the largest vegis and it seems its all in the soil. I grow tomatoes but not huge ones, they are healthy size though. :D
