Have you ever been at work and violence broke out? Maybe a spouse came to work and assaulted his wife, maybe one of the employee had a gun or maybe someone went off and tore up the place, etc.

Worked in the ER -- 'nuff said.

Plus, had a threat of gun violence here in my unit at UTMB.

I was star of a school lockdown in 2003. I was held "hostage" for a short time by a student high on cocaine and with a large knife. But I will talk no more of it.

Holy crap! That is scary. Glad it worked out good for you, you are obviously still here.

Speaking of being held by knife point, I was robbed when I worked at Subway(one of my 1st jobs), and some crazy came in through the back door and held a knife to my back and demanded the $$$$. A customer that was in there actually took off after him and saw where he went and the police got him. I then had to go identify him outside, that was scary having to look him in the eye and say Yep thats him.
