Possible Foot Surgery

Hey look, I'm back with more complaints!

Okay, so this time it's a medical problem. About one month ago, I got a nasty blister on the right side of my left heel. It popped in my shoes, and the shoes made is bleed. After a while, I started to notice a little hole in the skin, I didn't think anything of it. But, now it's an inch long, and about 2-3mm wide and 3-4mm deep.

What is bad, is it wont heal. When I walk, I brake the skin layer that is trying to close it. It is so painful to walk, I'm actually starting to hurt my ancle from holding my heel up when walking.

So, I saw the doctor today, he said it looks like I might need surgery to close it, if nothing happens to it within 3 weeks. I have to walk less, soak it in warm water twice daily, not poke at it, not hit it off anything and I can't wait shoes. Just flipflops with a piece of sponge against it, as well as some cream we got for it that needs to be under a bandaid.

This is so difficult! All this started from one little blister! UGH!

Yes, make sure you keep it clean, soak it and do what the doctor told you to do.

Take care and I hope it heals good and soon for you.

I'm surprised that they didn't give you crutches or something.

I am not a medical professional...but a piece of advice...(if I am mistaken please correct me if you are in the medical field--Duckie???)

Don't use peroxide on it to "clean it out" as that actually breaks up the platelets in your blood that will make it heal (clot). Follow the Dr's advice and you should be fine...I also would let it "air out" when you are just sitting down so that it can dry a bit as well.

Are you diabetic? or have you had your glucose checked lately. Sometimes not healing is a sign of problems ahead.

Ask your doctor to have your blood checked for it.

Have you been checked for diabeties? NOT to be an alarmist or anything but this is a sign of having the disease....every female on my mothers side of the family has it and this is very common for them.

I was checked when I was 12, because my uncle had it. 17 now.
