Hero my foot! That little boy is headed down a road of health problems and sorrow. I feel for him and the mother needs counseling.

Kinda sounds like Archie the 84 lb. baby. They say he doesn't eat that much, only 3 maybe 4 times a day. He may have that same rare eating disorder. Sad, regardless.

That is sad and I am disgusted with the parents. I guess they don't care that their son won't even live to see his teens years without some serious medical help. Obestity is such an epedimic with kids these days. I never remember seeing so many overweight children. And parents that continue to let their children eat nothing but french fries, hamburgers, and suguary soft drinks. I can see an occasional treat like that but not every single day. And the article says the kids don't tease him. Just wait until middle school, then Jr. High and High school. Kids can be very cruel when you are overweight. I never had a weight problem myself, but I seen how kids at school were ridiculed for being the slightest bit overweight. And wait when he starts getting interested in girls. It will be hard to get a date. Girls in high school are just as cruel as the guys when it comes to weight. When I went to high school, the fat kids hardly ever got dates or even that many friends. I felt sorry for them sometimes.

I'm not sure if it is abuse to feed your child. But those parents need help, a 210 pound 6 year-old is just ridiculous.

It may not be abuse, but those parents should at least get a special diet for him. That may help him slim down. A diet from a childrens specialist.

i think it may be abuse if they're putting that child's life at risk....

I hope through this story he gets the help he needs. A good diet to start with. I am sure there will be clinics, etc. ready to step up and help the family.

I agree. It's possible he has a medical condition. Archie suffered from MOMO Syndrome.

If the parents have made no attmempt to curtail this childs weight yes it is. This young man clearly has some kind of malady and not surprisingly doctors over there are unable to ascertain what it is. Im not sure if witholding food is the answer; the underlying cause (whatever it is) must be treated.
