Um no way! lol. Six Flags was torn up pretty bad. And I would not want to ride any of those rides after being underwater. Six Flags is in Chalmette. Go to Georgia.

Wow all the rides were underwater. Wonder how they are going to fix that, I agree Linda I would not want to get on any of those rides either. With the cost to replace and rebuild all the rides they may not be open for a long while. :(

I found there website and it said the park would be closed through 2006. They are dealing with insurance companies.

Yeah, and I have to tell you, that was the most disgusting water I've ever been in. EVER. It had been sitting there for a month.

Actually, the Six Flags out here USED to be called "Jazzland"... and it's actually in New Orleans East... but just north of the Orleans/St. Bernard line... it may (or may not) look it; but it's in a real bad way. The rumors circulating here are that its 2006 season is completely cancelled, and they are considering NEVER re-opening... hope that changes; but it is in a VERY vulnerable area.

Six Flags is closed for this year, due to insurance issues. I've heard that they plan on coming back in 2007, and are already completing plans for the largest waterpark in the South, to be constructed next door. I miss Six Flags, as well. But, as Katrina has taught us all..be patient, they are coming back.

There is a great waterpark in Gulfport which is now open. I plan on going there next weekend. I also love "Blue Bayou Waterpark" in Baton Rouge.
