Whether its a particular car, like the Corvette, or a candy bar like Hershey's...there are a lot of products and product names that have withstood the test of time.

Crest toothpaste. Mr Clean. Wrigley's gum.

How far back does your memory go? Can you add some to the list?

Smith & Wesson, Colt, Remington and Winchester...oh, what the hell, DWM/Mauser might as well be on the list!

Come on Steve, you expect someone with a severe case of CRS to remember things like that? "LOL!" Just kidding, let's see.......Matchbox cars, Hot Wheels, Barbie Dolls (NO.....I don't play with them either LOL!) Monoply.

Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. I'm visually walking the grocery aisles....LOL Tide Detergent would be another. Recently saw a commercial for Breck Shampoo, how it's back and the same old formula/ingredients. I used to use that shampoo but can't find it anywhere on the store shelves. Why I ask? Might be a too simple product in today's marketing to compete. Sad, really.

I can remember my mom brusing her teeth with powder toothpaste. You shook it out from the can onto your brush. Only about 25 years ago too. Forget the name thought...sure it's long gone form the shelves.

I should have made note of another old favorite...Brach's Wintergreen Lozenges, the pink ones? Those who remember the 1950's versions of candy cigarettes KNOW the flavor of which I speak; likewise, old mid-to-late 60's 1/24 scale slot car owners may well recall the scent of the oil they used on their "slicks" before heating up the tracks.

Cheerios, ovaltine

Lifesavers
and last but not least Mickey Mouse

Pburgh - thanks, didn't know that about Colgate! I think the one my mom used was Parson's? Could be wrong though - heck, that could have been a cleaning product for all I can remember these days....

Good topic!

I remember the candy cigarettes!! LOL!! And those wax lips, which by the way, Wrigleys winterfresh gum tastes just like those wax lips. Chico stix are still around. My Mom used to give us all 10 pennies a piece and we would all walk to the store and come back with a big bag of candy. Double Bubble gum is still around.

Chiclets and the Bazooka gum too.

Those were the days...in 6th grade, a friend of mine and I used to leave school during lunch, blow 30 cents each on BIG bags of Brach's Peppermint and/or Wintergreen Lozenges at the confectionary three streets down the hill, get back during post-lunch recess, and "pig out" all afternoon (we hid the bags in our flip-top desks).

Besides, one can only stomach "bread-and-rice pudding" just SO far... :o

Penny Candy - this generation just doesn't know what they're missing!!!

I remember buying penny candy, w/o money! We'd search and find discarded soda pop bottles (or raid your own garage!) and turn them in for the deposit. The "pony keg" would just give you a credit and you'd go to shop for candy, right then and there.......I miss those days!!!!

Penny candy was sold at noon at my grade school. I'd take the pillows off of the sofa at home and search for money that may have fallen out of my Dad's pockets. I remember I'd always find enough to buy everyone in my class some candy. What fun.

Speaking of turning in bottles for money. That was the thing to do in my day. My Mom would take me to turn them in. Once I had enough to earn 11 bucks so I could go to the Miss America Pageant one year. Had a blast. lol.

Steve!!!!! I just love Beaman's!!!! I can find Teaberry but not Beaman's. Similar tasting gum. FYI to non-baby boomers, if you see Teaberry gum, buy a pack - it's different but so good too! Our local hospital's gift shop carries it. Just might have to make a run there tomorrow!
