I can come home and throw my shoes anywhere in my room and not having to be told to pick them up and straighten them out.

(of course, it makes looking for them when I need them the next day that much harder.... but still..I had been longing for these days since I was 12.)

One day...it just happened.

Both of my sons have told me (in private of course) that I really do have something of value to offer them. They are 29 and 33.

Also...at my age and a ton of experiences under my belt now, many under 40 suddenly really believe that when I open my mouth that it might be worth listening too.

Truth is. That's not always true.
