Being a grandparent has to be great. You can spoil them dearly, then send them home...

you can watch them torture their parents like they tortured you when THEY were kids. ah, payback is a _ _ _ _ _!

Actually...I walked in the door to see my two granddaughters this week. They ran over to me to give me that "Oh Papa I Missed You So Much" hug. And the little one Olivia laid her head on my shoulder for five full minutes when I picked her up and held her. Nothing's better!
Second choice. That we don't have to follow the same rules that mom and dad do when the kids are around.
Third choice. That we'll disappear from their daily lives long enough that the next time I see them I will get another "Oh Papa I Missed You So Much" hug again.
