Wow-could you imagine having to write your birthdate as 6-6-6 your whole life???

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/loca ... ryid=58727
JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It's only a date on a calendar. Or is it? Some First Coast moms-to-be aren't taking any chances.

"One of my patients had a C-section scheduled for June 6th and recently decided to change it because of the date," said Dr. Angela Martin an Ob/Gyn for New Horizons.

By now, most people realize that the numbers 6,6,6 together represent the mark of the beast or Antichrist. Scholars say the numbers are in the bible's book of Revelations. It could be why some expectant moms are a bit fearful.

There's no hysteria at this point, but at one local hospital where several little ones were scheduled to enter the world on 6/6/06, their families canceled and rescheduled.

"I think they had three planned for that day and now there's only one that's scheduled," said Martin.

Evil has helped push the bank accounts of many in Tinsel Town to new riches with movies like "The Omen." But in the land of those experiencing labor, wealth is all about health. First Coast moms want healthy babies born on any other day except 6/6/06.

I was thinking the same thing. Or 6/6/06. Still a bit odd, I am not big on superstitions, but I would not want it to be my birthday. lol.

I can't believe people are worried about this. Even if they buy the whole religious connotation of the number, they should remember that calendar dates are based on an arbitrary system set up ~500 years ago. If they're really concerned they can just say they were born in 4703 (Chinese) or 5766 (Hebrew). :D

We just had a 666.

June 6, 1996.

6/6/6 or 06/06/96.

It happens every decade.

They were talking about it work today. I'm all, "It's not the 6th year...it's the 2006th year. Nothing to worry about. Sheesh!"

The problem with the whole "insert bad thing here" happening on a certain date is time zones

Time Zones! Chuckle.

I am getting tired of hearing about 666 and it's only 6:53 in the morning (in our time zone)

The number 666 is the number of the beast in Revelation, the last book of the Bible:

This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666. (Revelation 13:8)

"This is a very nice piece to find," Dr. Aitken said. "Scholars have argued for a long time over this, and it now seems that 616 was the original number of the beast."

It's just a number,no need to get paranoid
