Ok, every single June our apartment gets invaded by pincher bugs!!! I thought this June we were safe as I hadn't seen any till last night and killed 3 in 10 minutes, sigh. They last the entire month and they don't bite or anything, but I find them in all types of places, under the kitchen faucet, on towels, in the dishwasher, etc. I've looked them up before and I think they are earwigs, but I just want to know...how can I get rid of them without harming Digger, my bearded dragon????? Any ideas???????

Oh yeah, he's known to go thru this, if he doesn't eat by tomorrow it's time for the turkey babyfood force-feed again,. Usually after this he'll start to eat again, but he is in a horrible shed right now, so it could be that too (he won't look at carrots tried that one along with his fav fruit raspberries, no go)

Yeah, earwigs. I heard somewher that they'll go into your ears and remove pieces of your brain with their pinchers. I don't know if that's UURRRK. ACCCK. BRING THAT BACK HERE YOU BUG!
Seriously, I think that they like dark damp places. Do you have a dehumidifier?

Oh, you got earwigs?
Okay, we have them like mad up here. This is what we do, and it works like a charm.
You take a small amount of peanut butter, put it on the ground in several locations around you house (maybe in), and lace it with baking soda, and make little piles of baking soda around it, like really close or against it. The, stick a piece of cardboard on top, not too big, but enough to cover it.
The earwigs will go for the peanut butter, eat the baking soda, their stomachs will expand and they die. Works for us.

Thank you conestogo, I'll tell the hubby to set some up
coriolis, nothing damp in the apt, in fact it's very dry, these suckers like any spaces it seems, I've found them in my couch, on the walls, inside of my clock, in a picture frame (looked at my mom's pic and was wondering why her hair was moving, sigh)these guys seem to just like to hang out. Didn't see any last night or this AM yet, but now that I"m talking about it, I'll probaly see some tonight.
Thanks again for the tips folks, I appreciate it!
